drizzle jam fries 1

Drizzle Jam Fries are made using only three ingredients and the results are perfect for satisfying that sweet tooth craving! Make sure you use jam (and not jelly) as it contains crushed fruit and it holds up much better for this recipe. They get the name ‘fries’ from their shape, but you could cut them into any shape you desire. From start to finish, the total prep and baking time is less than 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 2 rolled refrigerator pie crust dough, room temperature
  • 2/3 cup jam, room temperature
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar

First we preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Next, we carefully unroll one of the pie crusts.

Then we thinly and evenly spread the jam over the entire surface of the pie crust dough, leaving the outside edge without jam.

Next, we unroll the second pie crust and place it carefully over the first one. Then we pinch the edge all around the crusts to seal them together.

Next, using a pizza cutter wheel, make 3/4 inch slices in one direction. Then, going in the opposite direction, make 4 evenly spaced slices.

Next, carefully place them on a parchment lined cookie sheet and place them in the oven. While they are baking, we can make the ‘drizzle’. Put the confectioner’s sugar in a small mixing bowl and stir while adding tiny amounts of water at a time until it has a very thin consistency. The fries should be done baking in 15-20 minutes or when the bottom is a light golden color. Remove from the oven when done and allow them to cool on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Once they have cooled, drizzle the confectioner’s sugar mixture from a spoon onto the fries. After you have let the drizzle set for a few minutes, you can remove the fries from the parchment paper and serve. Enjoy!
